Easy Recipe for Saving Money from Quail Crossing Apartment Homes! 3 Golden Rules to live by!

August 15, 2013 - An Easy Recipe for Saving Money!

1. Use Less - I just got out of the shower and I can tell you I used a whole lot more shampoo and conditioner than my hair needed.  Also, I turn on the water to get it hot and will continue to run it because I've gotten busy doing something else.  - or when I'm cooking, I'll fix a pound of ground meat for the two of us in a recipe - when I could get by with a 1/2 pound.  I pull out two tissues or multiple paper towels when I just need one.   (and just a thought - we are talking about saving money - and time is money - so if we can use less time to do a chore - we save!)

2. Use All - Lots of creative ideas for this  -  but one easy one is freeze leftover vegetables and when you have enough, make soup. . . . or add a little water to that shampoo bottle and get the last of the shampoo out!

3. Use Twice - We are such a throw-away society! I'll grab a paper towel to dry my hands and toss it when I could use it again in the next few minutes - or use a dryer sheet twice - or wear things twice! Most mothers know how many outfits a day our kids put on and often those outfits are thrown in the wash without a smudge on them.  And it's not just kids! I, unfortunately, do it too.

I know if I adhere to these 3 things, I'll be saving money and also saving some of our earth's valuable resources.
